Data Retention

1.The short version

Your MaziFlow is available until 30 days after your event date. On that date it closes — for your guests and for you — and the photos and videos are permanently deleted. There is no extra week and no second month.

The only way to go beyond the 30 days is the paid extension: 30 more days for €9.90, where it is offered.

2.While your event is available

Guests can upload and, if you allow it, see the wall. You can manage, favourite, hide, delete and download everything.

3.Reminders

We email you when 14, 7, 3 and 1 days remain, and once more on the expiry date to tell you the event has expired. Every reminder is sent before the expiry, so there is always time to download. The expiry date is always shown in your dashboard.

4.When it expires

Uploads stop, and the guest wall and the Live Wall are no longer available. Your own access to the photos, videos and downloads ends at the same moment. Your dashboard tells you clearly that the event has expired.

While the files have not yet been deleted, the paid extension may still be offered in your dashboard; if you buy it, your MaziFlow reopens for 30 more days. Once the files are deleted this is no longer possible.

5.Permanent deletion

Shortly after the expiry we delete the original files, the versions prepared for display, the thumbnails and any download archives from our storage. This is an automatic technical step, not a period of access: from the expiry date onwards the files are not available to anyone.

Deleted files cannot be restored.

6.What we keep afterwards

Only what we need for accounting, tax and legal obligations and to protect against fraud: your account, your order, and — for printed packages — the delivery record. No photos or videos are kept. [RETENTION PERIOD FOR RECORDS TO BE CONFIRMED]

7.Backups

The database that holds accounts, events, orders and settings is backed up once a day, encrypted before it leaves the server, and kept in a separate location. Daily backups are kept for a limited number of days and one monthly backup for a limited number of months (fourteen days and six months in our standard production configuration); a record deleted from the live database therefore disappears from every backup within that period at the latest.

Photos and videos are not inside the database backups. They live only in the private media storage; when they are deleted at the end of an event they are gone from our systems at once, and no copy of them is kept.
